My knight personally would had ridden to the ends of the earth to find a Lady that was talented in the breeding of horses. To be a powerful female character within the game, you don’t need to be a knight, the queen, or have magic. Then add in those skills a Knight shouldn’t have, and you have someone any wise knight would desire to be on the good side of. Heck, a good hunting or horse riding skill were plenty impressive enough. Maybe it was because I was a Romantic Knight, but I never thought the NPCs Ladies we interacted with as weak or powerless because they didn’t have the sword skill or magic. It got me to realizes how the Ladies in our Pendragon campaign had so much sway over our group of PC knights. Years ago, this same subject came up and I did a check in my copy of “The Arthurian Companion” for a list of warrior woman (I think it was around nine). ![]() Do it, please. As a longtime poster in any Pendragon thread, I’ve always thought people overlook how much influence a Lady does have with knights.
